Visual Perception Toys
Visual perception is the ability to interpret what our eyes see. It allows children to get to know and understand the world around them. When looking, children focus on specific objects and evaluate what they see, e.g. colours, shapes, similarities and differences – thus performing visual analysis and synthesis (i.e. they perceive an object with the sense of sight and draw conclusions from this observation). Visual perception is also essential for further education when learning to read, write and count.
