Hello world!
Read

Progressive Puzzle Vehicles is a set of 5 independent pictures (train, sailboat, car, excavator, balloon), which consist of different number of pieces – three, four, five, seven and eight . This solution is ideal for children who have already mastered arranging the simplest two-piece puzzles.

Complementing our puzzles are 4 suggestions for games, most of which are directed at supporting speech and communication development.

The puzzles help to shape primarily: concentration, visual perception, spatial imagination, eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and speech and communication. Did you know that:
  1. Concentration is the ability to focus on something specific. It can be a task being performed, a particular object or instructions given by a teacher. Concentration ensures children’s proper development and is essential at each stage of their education.
  2. Visual perception allows a child to know and understand the world around him, and is essential for further education when learning to read, write and count. At first, the child, playing with several pieces with different pictures, has to focus his eyes on them and make judgments about what he sees, such as colors, shapes, similarities and differences. This is an introduction to more advanced analysis, which, among other things, forms the basis for logical thinking.
  3. Thanks to spatial imagination, children are able to predict what an arrangement of several pieces will look like, determine the relationship between objects or identify their own location in the field. Spatial imagination is extremely important for further learning, especially for the development of mathematical and technical skills.
  4. Visuomotor coordination enables precision of movement. It is essential for daily activities – from eating, dressing, drawing or writing independently to physical activity. Eye-hand coordination additionally requires training of the child’s hands and fingers, i.e. fine motor skills.
  5. Small motor skills are the precise movements of the hands and fingers, such as squeezing, stroking, kneading and grasping. It is essential in many areas of a child’s life and the achievement of independence (e.g. brushing teeth, buttoning up, eating, writing).
  6. Speech and effective communication are the basis of everyday life in the family and are indispensable for the development of social skills. They allow children to express their thoughts and feelings and to understand what others want to communicate.

Fun proposal

Train, travel, vacation, or associations – number of players: 2-5, suggested age: 4+

Arrange all the pictures together in front of you. Determine the order in which you will give the associations. The person who starts the game, looking at the puzzle, chooses one object and loudly says its name (e.g., train). The player sitting to her left says what he associates the listed word with. Then, looking at the pictures shown on the puzzle, he chooses a word for the next person.

Tips:

  • When choosing words for associations, use both the general names of what you see (e.g.: vehicle, ship, boat, sailboat, car) and the details of the pictures (e.g. wheels, window, door, lights, sail, mast, cabin, side);
  • To modify the game, you can create strings of associations; the starting person, looking at the puzzle, chooses one object and says its name out loud, e.g. train, the next person says what he associates the word with. For example, when she associates a train with travel, the next person looks for an association to travel, and so on.
